  1. The Rate Request · Thư hỏi giá đầu tiên
Lan from Craftwood Furniture asks for a rate on two forty-foot containers of wooden furniture to Rotterdam. Collect every detail a forwarder needs before quoting, because one missing fact means a wrong rate.
  2. Reading the Quotation · Đọc hiểu bản chào giá
Your quotation is out: ocean freight, local charges, validity, GRI. Lan is comparing it with a cheaper forwarder. Explain every line and defend your price with service, not discounts.
  3. Booking with the Carrier · Đặt chỗ với hãng tàu
Craftwood said yes. Book space with Oceanline for the Saturday sailing and leave the call with the three dates that rule this shipment: SI, VGM and CY cut-off.
  4. Trucking & the Stuffing Plan · Kéo container & đóng hàng
Two empty containers, one factory in Binh Duong, one weighbridge. Work with Tuan so the cargo is inspected, stuffed, sealed, photographed and weighed, with proof at every step.
  5. Shipping Instruction & VGM · SI & VGM trước giờ cut-off
The SI deadline is Wednesday noon. Draft the shipping instruction for two containers of wooden furniture, verify every field with the shipper, and file the VGM separately: one typo here becomes an amendment fee later.
  6. Checking the B/L Draft · Soát B/L draft
David has sent the B/L draft and the clock gives you twenty-four hours. Spot every discrepancy, get the amendments done before issuance, and arrange the telex release plus the certificates the wooden cargo needs.
  7. Customs Declaration Day · Ngày khai hải quan
Declaration day: the export declaration goes in, and it comes back red. Walk through a physical inspection with Tuan, keep every document consistent, and keep your customer calm with facts, not promises.
  8. Missing the Cut-off · Trễ cut-off
The inspection ran late and one container may miss the CY cut-off. Fight for a late gate-in, absorb a rollover, then deliver the bad news to Rotterdam the professional way: impact, cause, plan.
  9. Where Is My Container? · Container của tôi đang ở đâu?
Emma wants to know where her two containers are. Read the tracking like a pro, explain a three-day dwell at the Singapore hub, and set an update rhythm that calms a nervous customer with facts instead of promises.
  10. Demurrage, Detention & the Claim · Demurrage, detention & khiếu nại
The containers have landed in Rotterdam, and three cartons came out soaking wet. Explain free time, demurrage and detention clearly, then guide Emma through day one of a cargo claim without giving up a single right.
  11. Arrival Notice & Delivery Order · Giấy báo hàng đến & lệnh giao hàng
The final stretch in Rotterdam: arrival notice, local charges, delivery order, pickup and empty return. Coordinate both ends of the shipment so the last mile runs as smoothly as the ocean leg.
  12. The Debit Note & the Next Shipment · Debit note & lô hàng kế tiếp
The debit note is seven days overdue. Collect the payment without bruising the relationship, then turn Lan's praise into the next booking: eight hundred kilograms of urgent samples flying to Amsterdam.
